Welcome to the Irving Police & Fire Blue Christmas Official Website

It’s All About Giving & Caring

Blue Christmas was started in 1979 out of the then City Municipal Court building at 835 W. Irving Blvd.  It started with 25 families and it has now grown to where we attempt to take care of 400+ families that live in Irving.  We originally were under the umbrella of the Irving Police Association charitable account, and then we moved to the Irving Fire Fighters Association.  When Texas Stadium was blown up, Swanson gave the City of Irving a donation to be distributed among programs that helped kids in the city.  Blue Christmas was awarded $5000 which was the beginning of becoming a 501 c 3 tax exempt program under our own umbrella.

Celebrating 40 Years

Irving Police and Fire Blue Christmas is excited to celebrate 40 years of making a difference in the lives of children and families in our community. We could not make this happen without the generosity of residents, organizations and business partners like you!

We are kicking off our food and toy drives soon, and are looking forward to working with new community partners. Below, you will find lists of the items we need. We cannot accept perishable food items or clothing items, and we do not give toys with bow and arrows, play guns or knives.

Once you have gathered your items, you can take them to any fire station in Irving. If you have a large donation, we can make arrangements for pick up. Make sure to get a picture when you turn in your items at the fire station, and we will post your name and photo on social media.

We are grateful for your desire to help the less fortunate in our Irving community, and we appreciate you joining the Irving Police and Fire Blue Christmas Team!
